About Amanda
Amanda Hill is a Licensed Customer Service Representative and Receptionist at Stockton-Hill Insurance. She joined the team in November 2025 after working for the State of Ohio, where she spent 14 years inspecting salons and barbershops for the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board across southern Ohio. Before that, she owned and ran her own salon for 7 years, and she is a licensed cosmetologist. She enjoys helping clients with their insurance needs and making the process as easy and stress-free as possible. When she's not working, she enjoys traveling to warmer places, working in her garden, planting flowers, or spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Amanda is the resource for Buckeye Beauty and Barber Insurance, Stockton-Hill Insurance's liability insurance program for Ohio barbers, stylists, cosmetologists and hair designers. Her Board experience means she knows the licensing rules and what salon and shop owners look for.
- Who it's for: barbers and stylists who work in someone else's shop or salon or rent a chair (solo, no employees), and those who work from their own home with up to 3 employees.
- What it covers: general liability and professional liability, with limits of $1 million per loss and $2 million per term. Business property, equipment, lost income and data security coverage are available, depending on the option. The policies are written by USLI, a Berkshire Hathaway company.
- How it works: pick barber or stylist, answer a short set of questions online, pay, and download your certificate of insurance.
- If your work isn't a fit for the online options (for example tanning, microblading, waxing, nail techs, estheticians, salon or shop owners, booth renters leasing by the week or month, or more than 3 employees), send your details and an agent will quote it with Stockton-Hill's other insurance companies.
